Indian Institute of Management conducts National Level management entrance examination, CAT scores are used for admission to various management institutes across the Country. It's biggest MBA entrance test in India leading to admission at more than 5000 seats in all the 20IIMS including IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Lucknow, apart from the 20IIMS , hundreds of Top MBA Colleges including FMS Delhi,SPJIMR Mumbai,JBIMS Mumbai,MDI Gurgaon,IITS,IMI,XIMB,TAPMI and other accept CAT Scores as their key admission.Around 2 lac MBA Aspirant take the test every year.CAT is a computer-based  test every Year.CAT is Computer based test consisting of Multiple choice objective type questions from Quantitative Ability.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons With Disability (PWD) categories], awarded by any recognized University or educational institution or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD.
  • According to CAT  2018, eligibility, a Candidate is eligible for CAT, if have at least 50% marks or equivalent  CGPA-SC/ST-45% Marks.
  • Candidates in the final year of graduation are eligible to apply for CAT 2018.
  • Eligibility for CAT further allows you to appear in CAT-2018 even if you have done graduation in old system of 2 years of graduation provided the degree is UGC Recognized.
  • CAT eligibility for 2018 prescribes No  Age Bar to appear in the CAT 2018 Exam.
  • Nor the IIM MBA eligibility restricts any Candidates to seek admission on the basis of age bar.

Syllabus

  • "The CAT will be an objective type test with multiple choice questions.
  • The duration of the examination will be 180 minutes.
  • There will be three sections: Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning Section III: Quantitative Ability Some questions in each section may not be of multiple choice type. Instead, direct answers are to be typed on the screen.
  • Candidates will be allotted exactly 60 minutes for answering questions in each section and they cannot switch from one section to another while answering questions in a section.
